About This Project

Thesaurus.com is an online resource that provides synonyms and antonyms for words, helping users find alternative words with similar or opposite meanings. It had been many years since the site had undergone a thoughtful and meaningful redesign—it had been “reskinned” in 2020 as part of a hastily executed rebranding, but little time was devoted to improving the user experience, and the results page (then internally called the SERP, or search engine results page), the top revenue-generating page across all of Dictionary.com’s products, had already been long overdue for improvement. The Thesaurus.com redesign, which my first project on returning to Dictionary.com in 2023, was part of a full redesign of all of the company’s product offerings.
